We earned a spot on Warped Tour by entering the Ernie Ball online contest. We recorded a demo version of ‘Free’ and submitted it on the last day of the contest. This marks the last time music was judged by actual people that worked at Ernie Ball and not by how many people you could get to vote for your song on the website. I won’t ever forget the feeling of seeing our name when they announced the winners on the website. Us and three other bands got picked and we REALLY lucked out on the time slot. The other bands played right when they opened the doors and not many people were at the stage. When we started playing, it was about an hour into the fest and things started to fill up. Even though the bulk of the crowd was walking to the main stage, a lot of people stopped and watched us.

I also remember the night before the show, the Ernie Ball stage had broken down in the previous city. They told us it was a 50/50 chance we would play. Fortunately, they let the Ernie Ball bands play on the Y100 stage.
